CLE - Continuing Legal Education

As an attorney, I am required to attend 40 hours of CLE (Continuing Legal Education) every three years.  I must admit, I love CLE since, for the most part, I loved going to school and learning new things.  The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, now called the Florida Justice Association, puts on the best seminars for personal injury lawyers.  Recently, I went through many of the books from my CLE seminars and put them in order for my staff to reference.  Most of the seminars I attend are one full day, although some of them have been 2-3 days.  I always come away with at least one or two useful pieces of information to use on a case, so knowledge really is power.  Here is a list of some of the seminars I have attended:

Great American Teach In

I was lucky enough to be invited to St. Petersburg High School to participate in the Great American Teach In this morning.  It was exciting to talk about law and the legal profession with these very intelligent high school students and their professor (who is also from Maine like me).
