Almost one week ago our office participated in an amazing event called RELAY FOR LIFE organized by the American Cancer Society. For our specific Relay on the beach, there were 185 participants, 22 teams who raised a total of $43,227 by the end of the day’s event. If any of you don’t know, the relay is a 18 hour walking/running event. A minimum of one team member must be on the track at all times. Our team sponsored the Hula Hoop game for the public. We had about 20 contestants of all ages out there swinging there hips. The relay started at 2:00 pm on Saturday the 14th and went all day and night till 8:00 am on Sunday. Almost all of our team "camped" on the beach and walked and talked all night long. At our camp, we had for participants and guest to the relay to take one of our "DON’T TEXT & DRIVE" bumper stickers, a car coaster for your vehicle, or even a handy band-aid holder for your personal use. If you would like any of these items, please stop by the office or call we can send you one in the mail. I want to thank all the support that our team received from fellow networkers in F.N.I, R.G.A, T.B.N, W.O.I.E to name a few. Oh yes, I can not forget our "Sunshine Sponsor, Toucan’s Ale House located at 8305 Bay Pines Blvd. St. Petersburg, Florida I was pleased to give the owner Tim Lewis the sign that was displayed on the track for the 18+ hours. If you haven’t been to a relay yet, you are missing out on a really fun day. If you want to learn more, see the link below. Our team page tells you much more information. We plan to participate in 2013. Donations can be offered anytime all year long. visit our law office, take a quick tour below:
Kathryn Fenderson Scott, and her legal assistant, Linda Hunsinger joined the RGA Network team that was part of the Gulf Beaches Relay held last week at Treasure Island Beach, behind the Bilmar Hotel.
Our team was a group of about 10 high energy members of our community. We had weekly meetings at our office so we could brainstorm on how we were to reach our team goal of $3,500. We are proud to say that we raised $3,304.41, that is 94.4 % of our goal!
